Yield Protocol was an Ethereum-based platform that facilitated collateralized fixed-rate, fixed-term borrowing and lending. It utilized fyTokens (fixed yield tokens), ERC-20 tokens redeemable for an underlying asset at a predetermined maturity date, such as fyDai for Dai. fyTokens traded at a discount to their redemption value, akin to zero-coupon bonds, with profit realized at maturity upon redemption for full face value.
