THE COMPANY
Gravis, founded by Berlin students Archibald Horlitz and Wilfried Gast, began as HSD GmbH and evolved into a prominent mail-order company. It was acquired by mobilcom-debitel GmbH, a Freenet Group subsidiary, and expanded by integrating reStore GmbH's stores. Headquartered in Berlin-Charlottenburg, it once operated 38 stores in Germany. Due to unprofitability, Freenet AG liquidated Gravis, closing all stores and shutting down the online shop.
