CO₂RE is the UK’s national research hub for Greenhouse Gas Removal (GGR), funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). The organization conducts cross-cutting research on the environmental, economic, social, and governance aspects of GGR, coordinating demonstration projects and supporting policy development. Led by the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment at the University of Oxford, CO₂RE aims to advance scalable and responsible carbon removal solutions.
